Endurance Zone - the world’s largest sports rewards platform - engaged LeisureLabs as their exclusive platform development partner in 2023.


Following rapid expansion of their customer base, Endurance Zone were looking for a technology partner to upgrade their existing technology stack to support enhanced functionality, more partner brands and a significant increase in the number of users on the platform. Originally built using a series of “off the shelf” platforms and low-code tools, the Endurance Zone rewards platform required redevelopment using new technologies to ensure that it could deliver a mobile responsive UX and enterprise-grade scalability/reliability as a number of new major customers were onboarded, as well as future proofing the platform to support Endurance Zone’s significant planned customer growth.


LeisureLabs carried out an extensive review of the existing platform and made a series of recommendations around enterprise architecture and technologies. Leveraging their experience in building and maintaining websites which are designed to handle 10+ million daily requests, LeisureLabs were able to develop an enterprise grade solution using a range of technologies including ReactJS, Python, Django and Azure. LeisureLabs UX/UI design team delivered a refreshed look for the platform, and a range of experts were deployed throughout the project including technical architects, product owners, business analysts, mobile and backend developers as required at different stages of the project.


The Endurance Zone platform developed by LeisureLabs provides full white label capabilities, allowing clients to customise the look and feel of their rewards site and apply their own branding. It is also configurable for each client, allowing them to select their rewards from the extensive Endurance Zone catalogue, as well as adding their own custom rewards. Deep integration with enterprise grade analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Rudderstack allow clients to collect data on their members’ preferences and provide a tailored rewards experience.


Delivered on budget and on schedule in just three months, the new Endurance Zone platform includes an updated look and feel, improved mobile responsiveness, extensive improvements to website analytics and reporting and significant performance improvements, with support for a 500x increase in user traffic. All existing and new Endurance Zone customers will be migrated to the new solution during the first half of 2023.
