LeisureLabs – a brand new digital transformation and software development agency focused on the health, wellness and leisure sector – has launched today in London.
Founded by industry veterans Alex Peacock and Charles Njoku, LeisureLabs brings together a team with decades of experience in fitness technology, professional services consulting and custom software engineering.
LeisureLabs’ mission is to provide brands with an alternative to the conventional “buy or build” options for software. By carefully selecting partner platforms which can provide up to 80% of the technology which is needed for any given project, LeisureLabs are able to focus on providing best in class engineering and design teams to build the remaining 20%. This allows LeisureLabs customers to create a perfectly tailored digital experience in a way which is faster and cheaper than building from the ground up.
“We’re hugely excited by the potential for our business model in the fitness space,” said Alex Peacock, LeisureLabs founder. “Having run digital platforms and custom development agencies in the past, I’m very familiar with the challenges faced by operators as they make their decision to “buy or build” their software solutions. While platforms promise to solve all your problems out-of-the-box, agencies are working to convince potential customers that there are no suitable solutions on the market which meet their needs, so they should build their digital platforms from scratch. Clearly the reality is somewhere in between – that’s why at LeisureLabs we’re focused on delivering the best of both worlds.”
LeisureLabs’ engineering teams have over 8 years of experience in the fitness sector, having developed custom solutions for major global brands including Fitness First, Gold’s Gym, Crunch Fitness, The Gym Group and Precor.
